The Arts Society Teme Valley as an affiliate of The Arts Society aims to give its members and the public opportunities to learn more about decorative and fine arts.  We arrange lectures and Exploration Days when subjects can be explored in greater depth, as well as visits to country houses, gardens and places of historic and artistic interest.

They cover a wide range of historical and arts-related subjects including the lives and work of famous artists, music, ballet, gardens, architecture, people and cultures etc.

The talks are given by experienced and highly qualified lecturers who are experts in their chosen field, drawn from a directory maintained by The Arts Society head office.

Members attend for free, with visitors paying a small fee of £8.

Members can become involved in worthwhile conservation volunteering projects in churches and stately homes. Additionally, they also receive the 'The Arts Society Review' magazine.

Volunteering

Our Arts Society Teme Valley (ASTV) is totally run by volunteers who are enthusiatic supporters of the arts in their local community.  Many thousands of volunteer hours are needed to organise and run our wide range of events.

Our friendly group of volunteers enjoy using their knowledge and skills to pull together an inspiring and wide ranging programme of events.  Volunteering gives Members an opportunity to learn new skills, make friends, become involved in preservation and conservation, as well as to share their passion for art with others.

Could you be a greeter?  Perhaps share your IT skills with us?  Maybe help us link up with other local organisations?  There are so many areas that TVAS needs your assistance.

If you would like to find out more or have an idea for an arts project we could support, please contact our Co-Chairs Caroline and Judith.  They will be delighted to hear from you.
