Visit to Morville Hall and Dower House Garden

Two identical day visits to accommodate numbers

Thursday 20th June 2013

Morville Hall is two and a half miles from Bridgnorth.  It is an Elizabethan house behind a Georgian façade.  It is owned by the National Trust but has been appropriately furnished by the tenants, Dr and Mrs Douglas over the last two decades.  Although Morville Hall is owned by the National Trust it is only opened by appointment with the tenants so our visit represents a unique opportunity to view this important house.

The Dower House is tenanted by Dr Katherine Swift who, over the decades, has created a garden illuminating her passion for local history.  Each area of the garden reflects a different period of history which Dr Swift will guide us through. Many members will have read her book about her gardening years at Morville called ‘The Morville Hours’.
